American Autism Foundation, Inc.

The Purpose of AAFI,

The PURPOSE of the American Autism Foundation, Incorporated is to raise awareness and funding to create a network of trained professionals and para professionals available to families in rural as well as urban regions to directly help individuals, siblings, and parents.   We will help fund educational scholarships to individuals seeking a career in Home Healthcare for individuals with special needs.   These scholarships will help pay for online training from our fully accredited schools and universities worldwide.

The American Autism Foundation will launch “The AUTISM ANGEL NETWORK” to begin implementing help for families in America in early 2010.   These specialists will be trained in areas of special needs education, nutrition, exercise, and behavioral techniques.   If you seek a career in this specialized field, contact AAFI for further information.

Stress, fatigue, and increased health problems by family caregivers break down the family unit and everyone suffers. Sometimes, the family care-giver just needs an afternoon, a day, or a vacation away from their daily routine to recharge their batteries without feeling guilty that they are neglecting their loved one. The Autism Angel Network will help eliminate some of this family stress.

It Takes Teamwork

It takes many dedicated Foundations to help in the fight against Autism, spectrum disorders, and other disabilities.

Some Foundations help fund research and development of new procedures and drugs in an effort to aid comfort and improve the patients quality of life.

Many Foundations do a very fine job of making the public aware of what Autism is and how the public can get involved through multi-media awareness campaigns, informational publishing, and fundraising for research initiatives.

American Autism Foundation research has found that while there are many good organizations doing all of these things, there is a very real need to give a hand at home, to the health care giver and the families.

We must all work together as a united front to help each other.

AAFI Structure

The American Autism Foundation, Incorporated is a 501 C3 Non Profit and was founded by  Christians aware of a need for personal time off for family care-givers.   Family Care-givers work 24/7 taking care of their loved-ones.   This can take a toll on relationships within the family unit.   Marriages fail, siblings rebel, and family finances are stretched to the limit. Fatigue is very real to home care-givers.   Special persons need special people to help them.

We feel our Foundation can help strengthen families by providing an option to help family bonding.   Our "Autism Angel Network" Program utilizing  professional helpers and local chapters can help give these special families a break from the daily routine.

AAFI will partner with education, health, and behavior professionals, individuals, companies, and organizations dedicated to help improve the quality of life of the Autistic or special needs individual and their family.
